SCHEDULE: Best-of-three series, 6 p.m. Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday and, if necessary, 6 p.m. Winner is one of eight teams that advances to the College World Series on June 1-7 in Oklahoma City.
THE SKINNY: USF is 0-7 against UCLA, but the teams haven't met in five years. UCLA is scheduled to start Anjelica Selden, who is 31-5 with 355 strikeouts and a 0.99 ERA. The Bulls are expected to start sophomore Bree Spence of Countryside, though freshman phenom Cristi Ecks likely will pitch as well. A poll at USF's official site (gousfbulls.com) asked fans this week to name the Bulls' softball MVP; Ecks had more than 63 percent of the vote as of Thursday, nearly three times the vote of top hitter Krista Holle, who also earned first-team All-Big East honors and leads the team with a .369 batting average. ... The Clubhouse Sports Cafe on Fowler Avenue in Tampa hosts a watch party.

SCHEDULE: Best-of-three series, 7 p.m. today, 8 p.m. Saturday and, if necessary, 11. The winner is one of eight teams that advances to the College World Series on June 1-7 in Oklahoma City.
