A St. Petersburg Catholic High administrator and another Pinellas man were arrested this week after authorities learned they were trying to seduce a child over the Internet.

Both Michael Montroy, 55, and Gary Smith, also 55, were chatting with a person they thought was a youth in an Internet chat room, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said. Instead, they were talking to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's detective who was posing as a child under the age of 16.

Montroy was arrested Wednesday and Smith was arrested Thursday. Montroy is an institutional advancement director at the high school.
