On the air

On 'The Apprentice'

By SCOTT LOONG
Published June 9, 2006

"In business, it's important to take credit for your successes before someone else does," were Donald Trump's final words of wisdom this season. And before we could insert our own punchline, The Donald did it for us. "I do it all the time." Interesting considering the advice, the final two contestants weren't the prototypical "me-first" kind of guys. But in the end, Trump chose Sean Yazbeck, a 33-year-old Miami recruitment consultant who was born and raised in London, as his newest "Apprentice." While Sean and runnerup Lee Bienstock may not be "me-first" types, they showed they've learned Trump's ultimate advice: kiss up to The Boss. Before he made his choice, Trump asked them whether they'd prefer working in tropical Hawaii or the hustle and bustle of New York City. Both wanted a bite out of the Big Apple. Very smart, boys. Very smart.
