School Board changes jobs throughout county

TAMPA - The Hillsborough School Board made a series of appointments Tuesday night that changed jobs across the county. Anthony Satchel was named director for schools in greater Brandon. Jerry Jackson, principal at Shields Middle, replaces Satchel as director for northwest Hillsborough. Wynne Tye, general director for middle school education, becomes general director for exceptional student education. Several new principals were named. Anthony Giancola, site administrator at the Dorothy Thomas Exceptional Center, takes the top job at Van Buren Middle. The new principal at Egypt Lake Elementary, Lydia Sierra, comes from the assistant principal's post at Lowry Elementary. At Walden Lake Elementary, Dina Wyatt moves from assistant principal to principal. Gibsonton Elementary assistant principal Donna Marra also was promoted to principal. Trapnell Elementary is losing principal Marie Caracciola to the same position at Dover Elementary. Yates Elementary principal Loretta Campo was named principal at Lewis Elementary. Mulrennan Middle principal Quincenia Bell is leaving for a district assignment in human resources. Several retired principals returned to their jobs through a program that allows educators to keep working. They include Freedom High principal Richard Bartels, Chiles Elementary principal Sharon Beaubien and West Shore Elementary principal Harriet Foundas.
