CORRECTIONS

-- Nature Coast Tech football player Jonathan Woodbury's last name was misspelled in a photo cutline in Thursday's Hernando Times.

-- Former Hernando softball player Sophia Gill plays at Pensacola Junior College. A photo cutline in Thursday's Hernando Times had an incorrect first name.

BASKETBALL

Hernando Christian will host a basketball camp for boys and girls from July 13-19 in the school gym. The camp, run by Bill Brooks, will feature daily league games, skills tests and a 3-on-3 tournament, all separated by age groups. The cost for the week is $75. Drinks will be provided daily. The camp runs from 12-4 p.m. the first two days and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the last three. Checks can be made payable to coach Bill Brooks, 8487 Spring Hill Drive., Spring Hill, FL 34608. -- Nature Coast Tech is hosting a camp for girls June 19-22 at the school. The camp is open to those entering grades 4-8 this fall. The cost is $50 and includes T-shirts, prizes and awards. The camp is geared toward fundamental skills. Applications can be picked up at the school or by e-mail at montgomeryj@hcsb.k12.fl.us.

SOCCER 

The Brooksville United Soccer Association will hold tryouts for its competitive division at Ernie Weve Park Soccer Fields No. 12 and No. 13. on: June 17 : U-9 through U-14, 9 a.m.-noon; U-15 through U-19, 1-4 p.m.; June 24: U-15 through U-19, 9 a.m.-noon; U-9 through U-14, 1-4 p.m. Players must bring water, cleats and shin guards, as well as birth certificates. FOOTBALL

NCT will host the first annual Nature Coast Youth Camp, featuring Olympian John Capel, for kids ages 5-14. The camp will be held June 29-July 1 from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. the first two days and 9 a.m.-noon the final day. The cost is $6. This camp focuses on the fundamentals and basics of the game.
