JUST FOR LAUGHS: Comedian Patrick Janka will headline at 8:30 tonight at Giggles Comedy Club at the Best Western Resort Weeki Wachee at U.S. 19 and State Road 50, Weeki Wachee. COMMUNITY GATHERING: Ridge Manor United Methodist Church will host a community block party and numerous activities during its "Celebrate Jesus" outreach program from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church at 34350 Cortez Blvd. in Ridge Manor. The event will include face painting, pony rides, a duck pond, moonwalk, self-defense program, horseshoes, line dancing, free soda and hot dogs, and a prayer tent. From 7 to 11 p.m. in Cavalaire Square, there will be live New Orleans-style jazz, fresh market vendors, hand-rolled cigars and an outdoor movie; from 7 to 9 p.m there will be an art stroll on Grand Boulevard, live entertainment, poetry readings, and jazz at Richey Suncoast Theatre; also from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be a shuttle to the "Palm District" on Main Street west of the Cotee River bridge, with activities at most of the businesses in that area, including a fashion show, photo show, wine tasting, ice cream, live entertainment and art. Food will be available from area restaurants and food vendors. LOOK AHEAD FAMILY FEST: St. Anthony Catholic Church will host its "Boot Scootin' Sunday Family Fun Fest" from 1 to 5 p.m. June 25 at Heffernan Hall, 20428 Cortez Blvd. The event will feature the band Daydreams. There will be dancing, raffles, food, games and activities for children, a silent auction and prizes.
