PERFORMING ARTS NEIL SIMON'S COMEDY-DRAMA The Odd Couple continues through July 23 at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. From 7 to 11 p.m. in Cavalaire Square, there will be live New Orleans style jazz, fresh market vendors, hand-rolled cigars and an outdoor movie; from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be an art stroll on Grand Boulevard, live entertainment, poetry readings, and jazz at Richey Suncoast Theatre; also from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be a shuttle to the "Palm District" on Main Street west of the Cotee River bridge, with activities at most of the businesses in that area, including a fashion show, photo show, wine tasting, ice cream, live entertainment and art. Food will be available from area restaurants and food vendors. THE JAZZ GROUP 'SOUTHERN EXPOSURE' will perform hits made famous by Count Basie, Duke Ellington and others at Hernando Beach Club Inc.'s outdoor concert Saturday. The club is at the end of Flamingo Boulevard off Shoal Line Boulevard in Spring Hill. Those who attend are asked to take a lawn chair or blanket for seating. No coolers will be allowed. 'DON'T EAT THE PICTURES: Sesame Street at the Metropolitan Museum of Art' will be shown for free at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium of the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs (a half mile west of U.S. 19). The one-hour movie follows the Sesame Street gang's adventures when they are accidentally locked in the museum overnight. This is the first of three museum-related movies to be shown this summer at LRMA. The others are Home for the Holidays on July 16 and The Thomas Crown Affair on Aug. 20. FLORIDA LYRIC OPERA will perform highlights from Rossini's The Barber of Seville, sung in the original Italian, at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. The cast includes Constantine Grame as Count Almaviva, Kevin Nickorick as Figaro, Mary Ann Edwards as Rosina, Todd Donovan as Don Basilio, Jeff Clark as Don Bartolo and Patricia Agnew as Berta. VISUAL ARTS MODERN MASTERS: OIL PAINTERS ON DISPLAY, a show by six area artists, continues through July 29 at Progress Energy Art Gallery, 6231 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. AVENUE PLAYERS THEATRE will hold theater camp for ages 6-13 on Monday through June 23 at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session on designing and creating sets and props and acting will be taught by Vanessa Lewis and Linda Tantimonoco of Westchase Elementary. STAGE WEST COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE will have registration for an acting camp for ages 11-14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24 at the theater, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. The camp itself will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays July 11-29. The sessions will be on basic acting skills, stage makeup, props and audition techniques. The instructors will be actors, directors and backstage personnel. Students will give a production in the theater's Forum at the end of the sessions.
