SAINT-OMER, France - Sweden's Henrik Nystrom shot 6-under 65 to take a two-stroke lead Friday after the second round of the Saint-Omer Open in France.
Nystrom shot 8-under 134 on the Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club course in the European tour's only dual-ranking event this season with the developmental Challenge tour.
England's Paul Dwyer (66), South Africa's Jean Hugo (69) and Argentina's Cesar Monasterio (68) were tied for second. Dwyer's return to form has coincided with his return to St Omer, where he took second place last year after losing a sudden-death play-off to Joakim Backstrom of Sweden.
NATIONWIDE TOUR:
Hunter Haas moved into familiar territory when he seized the lead at the Knoxville (Tenn.) Open. Haas, winner of the 2004 event, fired 6-under 66 at the par-72 Fox Den Country Club to move into the lead. At 11-under 133, Haas holds a two-stroke edge over Brenden Pappas (67) and David Mathis (68).
FUTURE TOUR:
Salimah Mussani of Burlington, Ontario, fired 2-under 70 to lead by two strokes (137 total) after the second round of the Michelob Ultra Players Championship in Decatur, Ill. Sookhee Baek of Bradenton shot 76 for a 146 total, where she is tied with Tampa's Beth Bauer, who shot 74.
