DADE CITY - The county planners and consultants who drafted the special area plan for northeast Pasco County received the Award of Merit for Public Report by the Florida Planning and Zoning Association. The plan aims to protect the northeast Pasco's rolling hills and rural feel by preserving open space, maintaining two-lane country roads and limiting outdoor lighting, among other standards. The award was presented to county officials and consultant Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart June 9, at the association's annual conference in Orlando.
