FISH AND PICKIN': The Istachatta General Store, 8198 Magnon Drive, Istachatta, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry and concert beginning at 4 p.m. today. The dinner menu includes fish or chicken, baked beans, grits, coleslaw, hush puppies and tea or coffee. The cost is $6.50 if reserved in advance; $7.50 at the door. FAMILY FEST: St. Anthony Catholic Church will host its "Boot Scootin' Sunday Family Fun Fest" from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Heffernan Hall, 20428 Cortez Blvd. The event will feature the band Daydreams. There will be dancing, raffles, food, games and activities for children, a silent auction and prizes. Roles to be cast include seven men and five women, ages 18 to mid 40s and 60s. Reading will be from the script. English accents are preferred. The production runs Sept. 7 to 24.
