Deputies say armed teen carjacked pickup

By TIMES STAFF WRITER

WESLEY CHAPEL - A 17-year-old faces multiple charges after Pasco County sheriff's deputies say he brandished a gun and stole another teenager's pickup truck.

Justen E. Derousse was arrested Saturday on charges of carjacking, aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

Derousse had been hanging out with the victim and others. Derousse pointed a revolver at the unnamed juvenile victim once while they were inside a Brahma Drive residence, deputies say, and a second time while they were outside the home.

The second time, Derousse got in the victim's truck and drove away.

A sheriff's report says that when deputies later found the gun, its hammer was cocked back, but it had no ammunition.
