It's still a food ministry

Published July 2, 2006

LEALMAN - In April, the Solid Rock Christian Church closed its soup kitchen when it created a new residential recovery program for homeless alcoholics. Because the area around the church, 4224 28th St. N, has many working poor, the church expanded its food bank to replace the soup kitchen. Beginning Tuesday, the church will expand the hours of its food pantry: The new hours are 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
