CHILLING SCHILLING: Red Sox starter Curt Schiling, above, has had more good moments than bad against the Rays, going 9-5 with a 3.98 ERA, 87 strikeouts and just 15 walks in 971/3 innings.

THORNY RAYS: Tampa Bay has held its own against Schilling recently. Since the start of the 2005 season, Schilling is just 4-3 against the Rays, including 2-1 this season, with a 3.79 ERA.

ROCKIN' ROCCO: Rays centerfielder Rocco Baldelli gets in his hacks against Schilling. Of his four career hits against the right-hander (in 14 at-bats), two are home runs and one is a double.
