Book booth space now for September's 'Taste'

WESTCHASE - New Tampa, Brandon and Clearwater have long held spots on the eating festival circuit - now it's Upper Tampa Bay's turn.

The first ever Taste of Westchase is scheduled for Sept. 3 at A La Carte Event Pavilion, 4050 Dana Shores Drive. And while the event is still far off, vendors are needed now.

Organizer David Glass said he is seeking 25 to 30 food and beverage vendors and about 80 businesses to host booths at the event. Businesses from Westchase or neighboring areas such as Citrus Park, Town 'N Country and Oldsmar are encouraged to sign up.

"Although the Westchase name is on the event, it's really for the whole Northwest Tampa area," Glass said.

Booths for food and beverage vendors are free. Other booths cost $250 to $300.

Guests at the Taste of Westchase will eat and drink as much as they want for a flat rate. Glass said there will be live entertainment and activities for kids such as inflatable moonwalks.

A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Westchase Community Foundation, a nonprofit group in Westchase that helps families of seriously ill children.

To reserve booth space, call David Glass at (813) 830-9501.
