TAMPA - A 37-year-old man was shot in an apparent robbery early Friday morning in the parking lot of a Village Inn restaurant, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said. Ronald Mola of Wesley Chapel was taken to St. Joseph Hospital at 2:30 a.m. and was released at 7 a.m. after recovering, authorities said. Two gunmen approached Mola and three friends and demanded money at the parking lot in the 8600 block of N Dale Mabry Highway, just north of Waters Avenue. The robbers took a wallet with cash and credit cards and fired one shot - which struck Mola - before fleeing in a black Mazda, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said. Deputies arrested Michael Jarell Williams, 18, of 5209 E Chilkoot St. and Darnell J. Wilson, 29, of 1802 Columbia Park Drive about 3:15 a.m. near the University Mall. Williams and Wilson are being charged with armed robbery, authorities said.
