  • For their own good

Bay Pines staff wins vets' gratitude

Letters to the Editor
Published July 9, 2006

As many of us know, Bay Pines VA Medical Center is one of the largest veterans hospitals in our United States. We veterans who meet several times a week at Building 1-A501 Gero Psy. are blessed and fortunate to have their excellent staff serve us.

This staff consists of male and female members. To us veterans, they are our Florence Nightingales. They take care of all our wants and needs, and also keep our bodies and minds active in many ways. And, oh yes, they help feed those who cannot feed themselves. Really, there are not enough words in the dictionary to express their dedication to us veterans.

We, the veterans, salute and thank the staff from the bottom of our hearts.

Steve Pryslak, Seminole

Fourth fireworks show was best blast

I've been going to see the Fourth of July fireworks downtown for more than 27 years and this year was the greatest! So was the weather for the event. Many thanks to those who put it all together.
