Stretch of road now two-way

By TIMES STAFF WRITER
Published July 12, 2006

ST. PETERSBURG - Second Avenue N will be open to two-way traffic from City Hall to the Pier starting today.

Crews finished converting a stretch from Fifth Street N to Third Street N earlier this week. The work is part of a plan the City Council adopted a few years ago, and is tied to pending improvements on Fourth Street N, said Joe Kubicki, transportation planning director.

The plan also calls for the eventual conversion of Third Avenue N and Mirror Lake Drive to two-way traffic.
