By MICHAEL CANNING
Published July 14, 2006

LOCATION: 6014 Fishhawk Crossing Blvd., FishHawk Ranch, Lithia

DEVELOPER: Newland Communities LLC of Brandon

DESCRIPTION: Seventy-eight condominiums in 13 two-story buildings. Units will range from 1,000 to 1,760 square feet, and have either two bedrooms and two bathrooms, or three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Architecture will have Tuscan elements.

PRICE: $229,000 to $359,000

DESIGNER: Richard Bukarewicz of project builder Cardel Homes, Calgary, Canada.

AMENITIES: Granite countertops in kitchens and bathrooms; stainless steel appliances in kitchens; chair rails; vaulted ceilings; attached two-car garages; balconies on some units; wiring for security system and high-speed Internet access; built-in bookcases.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "You're buying a lifestyle when you buy one of these," said Rob Revoy, vice president of sales and marketing at Cardel Homes. "You're right in the heart of the Garden District," he said, referring to FishHawk Ranch's business and retail district, which also includes a 2-acre park. "All the amenities are, like, footsteps away."

TIMELINE: Ground broke for three of the project's models in early 2005, and they were completed in early July. Work on another 16 units, which are all sold, started in December and should be finished in August. Revoy said additional units will be built as they are sold.

MOVE-IN DATE: Late August
