A look at  a new, local development

LOCATION: 4711 S Himes Ave., just north of Gandy Boulevard

DEVELOPER: EdMark Properties

DESCRIPTION: Formerly Archstone Bayshore apartments, 23 two-story buildings with 328 units. Units have one bedroom and one bath or two bedrooms and two baths and range from more than 500 to more than 1,200 square feet.

PRICE: From $114,900 to $255,900

AMENITIES: The gated property includes a large pond, which some units overlook. Common areas include a fitness center, clubhouse and pool with wooden deck built out over the pond. All units have patios and walk-in closets; optional upgrades include stainless-steel appliances and hardwood floors.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: The condos are an outstanding value for South Tampa, said Kitty Olivero of EdMark Properties.

TIMELINE: Renovations began in late 2005 and ended earlier this year.
