Center is offering classes in basic computer skills

DOWNTOWN - The Life Enrichment Center is offering a four-week introductory computer class for adults.

Students will learn common keys on the keyboard, shortcuts, the Windows desktop, how to use the mouse, how to create a simple document and some Internet basics.

The one-hour weekly class begins at 1 p.m. Thursday at 9704 N Boulevard. The cost for the four weeks is $50. Space is limited, so preregistration is required. No refunds will be offered once class begins. For more information, call 932-0241.

Gay film festival presents movie from New Zealand

OLD HYDE PARK - The Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival presents 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunrise Cinemas, 1609 W Swann Ave.

The film, directed by New Zealand filmmaker Stewart Main, is about a 12-year-old boy and his tomboy cousin growing up in the New Zealand outback. When an exotic guitar player rents a garage apartment from the boy's parents, the kids' lives are forever changed.
