Bicyclist hit by car

The biker went through the windshield of the car that hit her.

TAMPA -- A woman bicyclist was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital this morning after she was struck by a blue Honda Accord on Columbus Drive, police said.

She went through the windshield of the vehicle. Detectives were interviewing the driver.

The bicyclist's identity has not been released. She was attempting to cross Columbus near the Hillsborough River.
