The city expects at least 18,000 school employees to arrive in hundreds of buses and thousands of cars from 7 to 9 a.m. for the rally at the St. Pete Times Forum.

Drivers should avoid Platt Street and Channelside Drive, Meridian Avenue between Jackson Street and Channelside, Nebraska Avenue between Whiting and Brorein streets, Tampa Street between Jackson and Brorein streets and Morgan Street between Jackson and Channelside. Anyone trying to go to Harbour Island from Tampa Street should drive Whiting to Franklin.

The rally will end at noon.
