The Henry B. Plant Museum is sponsoring two hours of Victorian fun for children on Monday, including a scavenger hunt, Victorian games and - here's the really cool part - a climb into the landmark minarets on top of Plant Hall. The public rarely gets the chance to do that.
Parents can drop off children 6 and older from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday. Registration by Friday afternoon is required. The $20 fee includes the activities, a snack, a gift and a year membership in the museum for the children.
To register, call (813) 258-7304.
The day is a kick-off for the museum's new children's membership program.
The Plant museum is in Plant Hall at the University of Tampa, 401 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. (813) 254-1891 or www.plantmuseum.com. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Donation: $5, $2 kids under age 12.
