Special observance days

The Pinellas County School Board has approved these special observance days for the 2006-07 school year.

Board policy states that no testing or major reviews can take place on these days. Students will have the opportunity to make up the work without being charged special fees.

No district-coordinated activities should be scheduled on days or evenings designated as special observance days.

Sept. 23: Rosh Hashana

Sept. 24: Second Day of Rosh Hashana

Oct. 2: Yom Kippur

Oct. 7-8: Sukkot

Oct. 14: Shemini Atzeret

Oct. 24: Eid-al-Fitr

Dec. 31: Eid-al-Adha

April 3-4: Passover

April 6: Good Friday

April 9: Seventh Day of Passover

April 10: Eighth Day of Passover

April 6: Eastern Orthodox Holy Friday

May 23-24 Shavuot
