NFL to defend pat-downs suit

There was little discussion at Monday's meeting of a ruling last week by federal Judge James Whittemore that pat-downs of fans entering Raymond James Stadium are unconstitutional.

The Sports Authority plans to appeal the ruling.

An attorney assisting the Sports Authority in the case, Richard Zabak, told the group Monday that the National Football League would continue paying to defend the pat-downs.
