The Latest Development

South Green

A look at a new development in our midst.

Published August 4, 2006

LOCATION: Between Sheridan Road and Sixth Street at Wyoming Avenue, south of Gandy Boulevard.

DEVELOPER: Ashton Woods Homes

DESCRIPTION: Thirty-one single-family homes in a fenced community. Homes range from 2,670 to 3,435 square feet and have four or five bedrooms, 2½ to four baths, and a two- or three-car garage. Buyers select from plans with Mediterranean, Tuscan, Georgian, and Craftsman architectural styles.

PRICE: From the $590,000s to the $670,000s without upgrades.

ARCHITECTS: Davis Bews Design Group of Tampa

AMENITIES: The community has 5-foot-wide sidewalks and mature oak trees throughout, underground utilities and a common park area. Homes have professional landscaping, two-story entry areas, covered lanais, open kitchens, granite counter tops, high ceilings, crown molding, walk-in closets and oversized tubs with a separate shower in the master suites, and security systems.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: The South Green community features all new homes, unlike many areas in South Tampa where new homes are sandwiched between older homes, said Eric Runge of Ashton Woods Homes Tampa division.

TIMELINE: The project broke ground in June 2005. Five homeowners live in the community, and five other homes are under construction. Ten sites are available.

MOVE-IN DATE: Upon completion of individual homes

FOR INFORMATION: Call Jennifer Branham at 835-4000 or go to ashtonwoods.com and click on Tampa.
