UP NEXT: MARINERS WHAT'S NEW: Seattle is finally getting some pop from Adrian Beltre, considered a huge free-agent flop since his acquisition before last season. Entering Sunday, his 35 extra-base hits (23 doubles, nine homers and three triples) since May 26 led all major-league third basemen. He had 33 extra-base hits in June and July, nine prior. INJURIES: Centerfielder Jeremy Reed (thumb) and leftfielder Chris Snelling (shoulder) are on the disabled list. KEEP IN MIND: The Mariners are the only team in the majors that has used the same starting pitchers all season: Jamie Moyer, Gil Meche, Joel Pineiro, Jarrod Washburn and Felix Hernandez. WHO'S HOT: Since being called up from Double-A San Antonio, reliever Mark Lowe, above, has pitched 142/3 scoreless innings to set a Mariners record for the start of a career. The right-hander has allowed eight hits and six walks and struck out 17 in 11 games. WHO'S NOT: Rightfielder Ichiro Suzuki is batting .333 for the season but is 3-for-26 in his past six games with one extra-base hit, zero RBIs and one run. SERIES: The second of three meetings. The Mariners lead 2-1 and 47-31 overall. Seattle is 2-1 this season at Safeco Field and 23-18 overall.
