WHAT WE SAID: The Times gave the movie a C-. MPAA RATING: R (for language and brief nudity) RUNNING TIME: 110 min. * * * Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector DIRECTOR: Trent Cooper CAST: Larry the Cable Guy, Iris Bahr, Bruce Bruce, Joanna Cassidy, Brooke Dillman, Tony Hale, David Koechner, Lisa Lampanelli, Megyn Price, Tom Wilson, Joe Pantoliano SYNOPSIS: The popular good-ol'-boy comedian makes his film debut as a fish-out-of-water health inspector. WHAT WE SAID: The Times did not review this movie. MPAA RATING: PG-13; crude and sexual humor, profanity, immature themes. RUNNING TIME: 90 min. * * * The Lost City DIRECTOR: Andy Garcia CAST: Steven Bauer, Richard Bradford, Nestor Carbonell, Andy Garcia, Dustin Hoffman, William Marquez, Julio Oscar Mechoso, Tomas Milian, Enrique Murciano, Bill Murray, Elizabeth Pena, Millie Perkins, Tony Plana, Ines Sastre SYNOPSIS: Garcia directs and stars as a Cuban nightclub owner during the dawn of Fidel Castro's revolution. Hoffman and Murray provide good supporting performances, and the musical numbers are superb. WHAT WE SAID: The Times gave the film a B-. MPAA RATING: R; violence RUNNING TIME: 143 min. * * * Adam & Steve DIRECTOR: Craig Chester CAST: Malcolm Gets, Cary Curran, Parker Posey, Chris Kattan SYNOPSIS: Two men meet 17 years after a grossly embarrassing first date and fall in love again. WHAT WE SAID: The Times gave the film a D. MPAA RATING: R; sexual content, language, drug use and some crude humor RUNNING TIME: 99 min. * * * Brick DIRECTOR: Rian Johnson CAST: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Nora Zehetner, Noah Fleiss, Matt O'Leary, Noah Segan, Meagan Good, Emilie de Ravin, Richard Roundtree, Lukas Haas SYNOPSIS: A quiet student (Gordon-Levitt) gets involved with a high school underworld when his girlfriend disappears. Johnson's film blends teen angst with 1940s film noir stylings. WHAT WE SAID: The Times did not review this film. MPAA RATING: R; violence, profanity, drug content. RUNNING TIME: 110 min.
