One Fantasy 5 winner bought ticket at Inglis Food Mart

INGLIS - The Florida Lottery announced that one of three tickets that matched all five winning numbers in Thursday's Fantasy 5 drawing was sold at the Inglis Food Mart. The other winning tickets were sold in North Lauderdale and Miami. The winners will share the $238,562.97 top prize. The winning numbers were: 2, 4, 12, 27 and 35.

County Auditorium site of annual parks and recreation flea market

INVERNESS - Citrus County Parks and Recreation will host its annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Citrus County Auditorium, 3610 S Florida Ave.

State does pair of controlled burns to reduce chance of fires

INVERNESS - Forestry division officials conducted two controlled burns Friday in the Withlacoochee State Forest. The 700-acre and 750-acre fires help reduce the risk of widespread forest fires during dry conditions. Florida Division of Forestry officials said the threat of fire is moderate, but increasingly dry conditions will postpone future prescribed burning until the area gets more rain.
