Beverly Hills

Nature Coast Community Bible Study, meeting at First Baptist Church, 4950 N Lecanto Highway: Meetings are at 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. Thursdays beginning Sept. 7. Heritage Baptist Church, 2 Civic Circle: The Awana program for children in kindergarten through sixth grade will begin this week. The program runs from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesdays. Call 746-6171.

Unity Church of Citrus County, 2628 Woodview Drive: Men of Unity meet at 8 a.m. today at Frank's restaurant in Hernando. Women of Unity will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today. Bring a salad. August is volunteer appreciation month, and "action" is the fifth principle of Unity teachings. The church is also celebrating the year of "living peace." Call 746-1270.

Citrus Springs

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 W Country Club Drive: The food pantry is open at 9 a.m. the third Saturday. Call Chuck Angel at 465-8330 for questions about eligibility. The Madonna Caf will be open at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and will feature Charlie Childs on the concert organ and baby grand piano. The evening includes dinner, a guest speaker and dancing. First Presbyterian Church of Crystal River, 1501 SE U.S. 19: Our Father's Table, a joint ministry with First United Methodist Church, St. Timothy's Lutheran and St. Anne's Church that provides food for those in need, is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays in Webster Hall. Call 795-2259.

There will be a covered-dish dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday in honor of Henrietta Golbeck, who is moving to Oklahoma. A program is planned as a tribute to her 26 years of service to the church, community, children's mission and mission worldwide.
