Jared DiMaggio rushed for 221 yards and five touchdowns as host Keswick Christian rolled to a 41-7 victory over Indian Rocks Christian. Eric Newsome, who ran for 49 yards, scored the Crusaders' other touchdown.
Keswick Christian's defense produced three turnovers, including a fumble recovery and interception by defensive back Doug Sanson.
"We led 21-7 at halftime, and we went in and told our guys we're going to run between the tackles," coach Rick Sanson said. "Our offensive line blew open huge holes."
ST. PETERSBURG CATHOLIC 29 LAKE HIGHLAND PREP 21: The Barons got a safety and a 2-yard score from quarterback David Girardi to erase a three-point, fourth-quarter deficit. Girardi also connected on touchdown passes to Andrew Harris (18 yards) and Darrin Hess (30). SPC's Jock Sanders scored on a 39-yard touchdown run.
CANTERBURY 30, SARASOTA OUT-OF-DOOR 19: Joey Cuda ran for 190 yards on 22 carries and scored twice for the host Crusaders.
Brandon Hamilton also came up big, throwing for 121 yards, and rushing for 67 and a score. Hamilton's favorite target was John Lancaster, who had nine receptions for 105 yards. He also ran back a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown.
CLEARWATER CENTRAL CATHOLIC 32, ADMIRAL FARRAGUT 0: The Marauders defense had zero tolerance, holding the visiting Blue Jackets to 14 yards of total offense.
Matt Darr returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown to set the tone. CCC's Anthony Cochran, Micah Poole and Dante Roberts combined for 153 yards rushing and three scores.
