Couple found dead in apparent murder-suicide

Published August 27, 2006

ST. PETERSBURG - A husband and wife were found dead in a St. Petersburg condominium Saturday in an apparent murder-suicide, Pinellas County sheriff's officials said.

Deputies discovered Richard and Judith Adams, both 59, in their residence at the Sea Towers condominiums after receiving a call from someone who worked with the pair at a nearby store, officials said. The caller told deputies that the couple had not reported for work in two days.

Deputies entered the residence about 6 p.m. and found the couple in the living room dead from gunshot wounds. A .357 caliber handgun was found nearby, authorities said.
