Police seek four men in spa robberies

TAMPA - Police were looking for four men accused of ransacking three spas this month near Kennedy Boulevard and Dale Mabry Highway. On Aug. 10, three men walked into Spa Yokohama, 402 N Dale Mabry Highway, forcing employees into a room while they stole from the spa, police said. The next week, on Aug. 19, three armed men went into Seven Star Spa, 4006 W Kennedy Blvd., forcing workers into a shower room while they robbed the spa, police said. A fourth man waited outside in a getaway car. At 12:54 a.m. Friday, three armed men robbed the Japanese Spa, 3936 W Kennedy Blvd., police said. One suspect was described as a thin white man, 20 to 22 years old, 170 pounds, with gold teeth and a thin moustache. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. He carried a blue and yellow bag and was armed with a large, silver pistol. Another was described as a heavyset black man, 18 to 21 years old, 220 pounds and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with jeans. He carried a black pistol. The third suspect was described as an 18- to 21-year-old man who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black pants. He carried a black, orange and green bag and was armed with a black pistol. The suspects drove a dark-colored vehicle. Anyone with information can call Tampa police at (813) 276-3567.
