Man, 61, hospitalized after shooting at home

TAMPA - Deputies were looking for information about the shooter in an incident Thursday night at a home near Town 'N Country.

Investigators said Robert Freewald, 61, heard a knock on a sliding glass door at his home on Orville Lane at 10:42 p.m.

As he walked toward the door, someone shot at him through the door, striking his upper torso, investigators said.

He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. Information on his condition was not available Friday evening.
