Next time, zoo will call 911 for escapee
People living near Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo can breathe a little easier. The next time a dangerous animal escapes from its cage, the zoo will call 911. Tampa police were miffed that zoo officials didn't call them as soon as Enshala, a Sumatran tiger, got loose last week. After a meeting with police officers Thursday, zoo officials agreed that they will be sure to let police know if a dangerous animal gets out again.

Redevelopment rules must wait for 2007
Six redevelopment referendum questions were tossed off the November ballot in St. Pete Beach by the supervisor of elections Friday. As a result, St. Pete Beach voters must wait six more months to decide future development rules.

UF officials say the program is long overdue, given the popularity - and increasing revenue - from organic foods sold at places like Wild Oats Markets and even your local Publix. Twelve UF students became the first to enroll when fall classes began last month.

Ralph Fernandez, a lawyer who has been putting up signs opposing a candidate for the 11th Congressional District seat, is not a candidate in the race. A story Friday was incorrect.
