IF YOU GO

The Largo City Commission meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 201 Highland Ave. A vote to adopt a final 2007 budget is scheduled for Sept. 21.

TAX RATE

For both years, the tax rate would remain the same as the current rate - $4.28 in city property taxes for every $1,000 of assessed, taxable home value.

Under that rate, an owner of a home assessed at $150,000 with a $25,000 homestead exemption would pay about $535 in city taxes. That bill doesn't include taxes levied by the School Board, County Commission or other local governments.
