At forum, one idea could be worth millions

February might sound like a long way off, but if you're an entrepreneur in need of money, it's right around the corner. The Florida Venture Forum is accepting applications on its Web site (www.floridaventureforum. org) for presenters at its 16th annual conference, Feb. 6-7 in Boca Raton. Candidates should have a high-growth business, proprietary technology and a strong management team. Of last year's 23 presenters, 14 have received funding totaling $92-million. Robin Kovaleski, the group's executive director, said earlier-stage companies are encouraged to attend the meeting to "snuggle" with investors.
