Futility in match play halts Tiger's streak
One round, and Tiger Woods' tournament was over. The longest winning streak in Woods' career, five, ended Thursday in the World Match Play Championship when Shaun Micheel put him in a hole and waited to see if the world's No. 1 player could escape. The score: 4 and 3, tying Woods' worst beating in match play. But his PGA Tour streak is alive because this was not a tour event.
OUT OF BOUNDS
In the event Osama bin Laden is sitting in a cave thinking of ways to blow up the Reds, Cincinnati will be prepared. The Great American Ballpark, home of the Reds, is looking for volunteers to participate in a simulated terrorist attack Sept. 30. The team is offering free tickets to games to those willing to show up for the "full-scale terrorist attack" exercise being run by the Department of Homeland Security and the Northern Kentucky Regional Collaborative. We're assuming volunteers will be given instructions on what to do besides screaming and knocking over elderly ladies to get to the exits. And, perhaps, an explanation as to why the Great American Ballpark is a possible target. After all, the Reds are falling out of the NL Central race.
QUOTABLE
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, when asked whom he would like to be in business with after Redskins owner Daniel Snyder teamed up with Tom Cruise:
"Well, I think that's really a big starter for the difference in our organizations, our philosophy. Nicole Kidman would be my business partner."

BUCS CHAT
Funny that Jon Gruden is looking for a veteran quarterback. Did he not realize he already had one in Brian Griese, or did they not want to pay for his knowledge? Guess you aren't supposed to get hurt and let an inexperienced quarterback take your job.
