Auburn takes turn at No. 2 behind Ohio State

Auburn is the new No. 2 in the Associated Press Top 25 writers poll.
With seven games matching ranked teams Saturday, the poll got its first significant shake-up.
Ohio State remained No. 1 for the fourth straight week, but Notre Dame's 47-21 loss to Michigan vacated the second spot for Auburn, which beat LSU 7-3. USC was third followed by West Virginia. Florida moved up to No. 5. FSU dropped to 18th.
Louisville: Quarterback Brian Brohm had surgery to repair sprained ligaments on his right (throwing) hand Sunday and will be out for a month.
Late Saturday
No. 4 USC 28, No. 19 Nebraska 10: John David Booty was 25-for-36 for 257 and three touchdown passes in Los Angeles. Receiver Dwayne Jarrett caught 11 for 126 yards, including two TDs as USC won for the 36th time in 37 games.
No. 22 Arizona State 21, Colorado 3: Rudy Carpenter threw two touchdowns in Boulder, Colo., to extend the Buffs' losing streak to seven, their longest since starting 0-7 in 1980. Carpenter hit Chris McGaha with an 18-yarder for a 14-3 lead. After Cha'pelle Brown fumbled a punt, Carpenter hit Zach Miller for a 5-yard score.
B-CC 45, S.C. State 21: Jarod Rucker was 22-for-27 for 367 yards and five touchdowns for Bethune-Cookman in Orangeburg, S.C.
Hawaii 42, UNLV 13: Colt Brennan threw for 296 yards and two TDs as Hawaii racked up 583 yards of total offense in Honolulu.
Arizona 28, S.F. Austin 10: Chris Jennings rushed for 201 yards and two scores as host Arizona pulled away in Tucson.
Navy 37, Stanford 9: Reggie Campbell ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns as Navy spoiled the unveiling of the new Stanford Stadium.
Texas A&M 28, Army 24: Jorvorskie Lane rushed for three TDs and Devin Gregg had two interceptions in San Antonio.
Utah 48, Utah State 0: Brett Ratliff threw three touchdown passes in Logan, and Utah beat its state rival for the ninth time in a row.
