Anna Nicole Smith's son was on prescription antidepression medication when he died at the hospital bedside of the former reality TV star, a pathologist who did a second autopsy on him said Monday. Cyril Wecht said Daniel Smith, 20, was being treated for depression that began about four to six weeks earlier, but he did not know whether the medication played a role in his death Sept. 10 in the Bahamas. Wecht said he was still awaiting toxicology tests to determine the cause of death. Smith died in the hospital room where this mother was recuperating from giving birth to a daughter. 'Dog' to tell his tale Duane "Dog" Chapman is out on bail, and A&E has wasted no time scheduling a Dog: The Bounty Hunter special covering his recent arrest. Tonight at 9, A&E will air Dog: The Family Speaks, an hourlong special that the cable network says will feature exclusive firsthand interviews about the arrests of Duane Chapman, son Leland Chapman and unrelated fellow bounty hunter Tim Chapman on kidnapping charges Thursday in Hawaii. The charges date to 2003 when the bounty hunters went to Mexico to capture Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was on the run for several months evading multiple charges of rape. Mexican authorities wanted Luster handed over to them, denied the Chapman gang permission to leave the country, declared them fugitives from justice and tried to get them extradited to Mexico for sentencing. The citations were issued after a commercial vehicle inspection of the country music star's tour bus, state police said in a news release. "When the door was opened and the trooper began to speak to the driver, he smelled the strong odor of marijuana," the news release said. A search of the bus produced 1½ pounds of marijuana and 0.2 pounds of narcotic mushrooms, according to state police. Nelson's publicist, Elaine Shock, declined to comment.
