TAMPA - Three Tampa residents were arrested Wednesday afternoon after deputies found cocaine, marijuana, two handguns and a loaded assault rifle inside a car, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Jorge Anthony Figueredo, 19, of 812 E Lotus Ave., the driver of the car, and two passengers, Patrice Robert Baron, 20, of 13602 S Village Drive, and Cedric Donnell Christopher, 20, of 812 E Lotus Ave., were arrested at 11:28 p.m. on a variety of charges, deputies say.

Deputies pulled over a 1997 Chevrolet near Gunn Highway and Anderson Road. Inside, investigators found a black backpack filled with marijuana. With his left hand, Figueredo handed the bag to a deputy. With his right, Figueredo reached under the seat.

When the deputy searched under the seat, he found a loaded .38 -caliber gun. Deputies also found cocaine, a scale, a loaded assault rifle and another handgun.

Figueredo and Christopher face drug and firearms charges as well as charges from a Sept. 4 armed robbery, deputies say. Baron faces a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

All were taken to the Hillsborough County Jail.
