21-year-old Holiday man accused of stabbing his wife

Published September 28, 2006

HOLIDAY - A 21-year-old Holiday man was arrested Tuesday night and accused of stabbing his wife in the neck, authorities said.

Maurice Damian Grey of 1813 Hacienda Way is charged with attempted first-degree murder. He was held without bail Wednesday at the Land O'Lakes jail.

The incident took place about 10:30 p.m. Monday during an argument at the couple's home. Authorities say Grey stabbed his wife, 25-year-old Amanda Grey, several times. She had lacerations on her legs, abdomen, chest and neck, said Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesman Doug Tobin.

She was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg after the attack. Calls to the hospital were not immediately returned on Wednesday.
