INJURY REPORT
Seminole football coach Sam Roper said his team is the "healthiest we've been since we started." Quarterback Tyler Bradley was thought to have torn an ACL two weeks ago against Pinellas Park, but Roper said it was merely a strain and he'll be good to go Friday against Dixie Hollins. Free safety Bryant Lumpkin ankle also will play for the first time in weeks.
ROLLING ALONG
St. Petersburg College women's volleyball team, ranked No. 11 in the latest NJCAA poll, kept up its strong start by upsetting then sixth-ranked Pasco-Hernando Community College on Tuesday in a thrilling 30-28, 18-30, 25-30, 31-29, 15-12 match. The Titans (14-1), the defending Suncoast Conference champions, were led by freshman middle hitter Heloisa dos Santos, who had 15 kills.
"It was barn burner, to say the least," SPC coach Scott White said.
HALL OF FAMER
Bill Specht, who lives in St. Petersburg, was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame at a dinner held during the FINA World Masters Championships held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., in August. Specht, 48, has held 30 Masters World Records in four age groups. In 1998, he was named the Top Masters Swimmer of the Year.
