Miss. State player is suspended

STARKVILLE, Miss. - A 20-year-old Mississippi State player has been suspended from the school and the team after his arrest on charges that included assault, authorities said. Adron Chambers, a sophomore from Pensacola, was arrested by the University Police Department on Wednesday night. The university said at the time of his arrest by campus police that Chambers was accused of attempted sexual battery, which it said was a felony. The athlete's attorney and officials in Oktibbeha County Justice Court said later the only charges on the books were misdemeanors - simple assault and indecent exposure. Chambers, a reserve who has played in all five games, will remain on suspension pending an on-campus hearing YALE: Two football players, including the starting quarterback, and three hockey players were arrested after a fight early Sunday outside a downtown market and charged with breach of peace. Quarterback Matt Polhemus and running back Mike McLeod and were arrested along with hockey players Alec Richards and Matt Nelson and Brad Mills. Both football players are expected to play when Yale visits Dartmouth on Saturday.
