UF tennis player wins twice to advance

TULSA, Okla. - Florida junior Greg Ouellette won twice Thursday to reach the round of 16 in the main singles draw at the All-American Tennis Championships. Ouellette (No. 26) faces Virginia's sixth-ranked Somdev Devvarman today. He beat Wake Forest's Todd Paul (No. 14) 6-2, 6-4, then beat Ohio State's Devin Mullings (56) 6-2, 6-3. Florida junior Nestor Briceno lost his opening match. VOLLEYBALL: Host Tampa (20-1, 8-1 SSC) defeated Rollins 3-0. The scores were 30-26, 30-15 and 30-17. ... Host Eckerd (12-9) lost 3-1 to Valdosta State. The scores were 30-27, 31-29, 20-30, 30-23.
