BROOKSVILLE - Homecoming for Nature Coast served as a coming out party for freshman tailback Tevin Drake.

The story Friday night quickly became the performance of a running back who was called up from junior varsity to play his first game this week.

"(Drake) adds another dimension to our offense," Nature Coast coach Jamie Joyner said. "This will definitely make it more difficult for defenses to prepare for us."

Drake came through huge from the start, accounting for 164 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone. His runs of 63, 18 and 30 yards helped give the Sharks a 27-7 lead at the half.

The top performance for Poinciana (0-7) came from senior fullback Alex Holmes. He finished with 22 carries for 95 yards.
