Pacer fires gun during fight at club

Indiana Pacers guard Stephen Jackson fired shots in the air in apparent self-defense after he was hit by a car outside Club Rio, a strip club in Indianapolis, early Friday. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Jackson and teammates Jamaal Tinsley, Marquis Daniels and Jimmie Hunter committed an "error in judgment" by staying out late during training camp. No one was seriously injured.

BUCS BIT

Cornerback Ronde Barber has two three-interception games, both against the Saints: Dec. 4, 2005 and Dec. 23, 2001, when he returned one for a TD.

OUT OF BOUNDS

The World Cup trophy paraded through Boston's heavily Italian North End neighborhood in tribute to Italy's title, but there was one problem: It was a fake. Fans waited hours to have a $5 picture taken with the trophy, a gold-plated replica. "I guess we were duped," Nick Varano, owner of Strega restaurant, told the Boston Herald.
