Humana's Medicare plan goes Hollywood

By KRIS HUNDLEY
Published October 9, 2006

First it was complimentary buffet lunches. Next it was free workouts. Now Humana is enlisting the aid of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman to recruit Medicare beneficiaries to its Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans. Sign-ups for 2007 begin Nov. 15.

In late October, Humana will offer five free showings of the 1942 classic Casablanca in the Tampa Bay area as part of its annual marketing blitz. Also showing on the double bill will be Changing Lives, a short film about Humana with no Hollywood stars.

Humana warns that though the movie - and a soft drink and popcorn - are free, space is limited. Reservations can be made by calling toll free 1-866-836-7903.
