LAUGHS: Comedian Whodi will headline at 8:30 tonight at Giggles Comedy Club at the Bella Oasis Hotel and Spa, 4076 S Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa Springs. The featured act will be Tim the Dairy Farmer. Tickets are $7. Doors open for dinner at 7:30. Call 352 628-0149.
JAZZ SINGER BANU GIBSON and the Jim Cullum Jazz Band perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto. The box office opens at 2 p.m. on show day for the sale of unreserved seats, which cost $16.
ROCKABILLY SHOWS: Oldies from the 1950s and '60s, along with classic country and Elvis tunes, will be a part of the Rockabilly U.S. Music Shows on Saturday at Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto. Shows are 4 and 7 p.m., and the second show includes the Elvis tribute. Tickets are $12.72 for the early show and $14.91 for the second show. A FINE ART AND CRAFT SHOW will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. There's no admission or parking fee. Call 628-5222.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS will resume at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 20 at Nature Coast Unitarian Universalist Church, 2149 Norvell Bryant Highway (County Road 486), Lecanto. October's movie is a Korean Buddhist film, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring, that was presented at the Toronto and Sundance film festivals. It relates a universal story about the lifelong journey of the human spirit. Admission is $3; popcorn and soda available. Call 465-5646.
solve the mystery: The Crystal River Rotary Club is sponsoring an audience participation mystery dinner play, The Senator Must Die, on Oct. 20 at the Key Center in Lecanto. Mac and Sharon Harris of Citrus Hills wrote the play. Social hour at 6:30, followed by a buffet dinner and the play. Cost is $30; proceeds benefit Crystal River Rotary Club. Reservations required. PEARL ANNIVERSARY: For its 30th anniversary show, Gulf Islands Civic Theatre presents the mystery spoof Good Help Is So Hard to Murder as dinner theater Oct. 20-22 at Tuscany on the Meadows in the Citrus Hills Lodge on County Road 486, Citrus Hills. Seating is at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21, and at 3 p.m. Oct. 22. Tickets are $16. Auditions for the musical revue The World Goes Round will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 and 23 at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19, Crystal River. The show features the work of John Kander and Fred Ebb, composers of All That Jazz and songs from Chicago. Singers should bring their own sheet music or sing something from the show. CELEBRATING COOTERS: The Great American Cooter Festival begins Oct. 27 with the Cooter Blast concert from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Courthouse Square in Inverness. On Oct. 28, the Cooter Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Liberty and Wallace Brooks parks. A MUSICAL TO DIE FOR: No Way to Treat a Lady has shows from Oct. 27 to Nov. 12 at the Art Center Theatre. This is a dark musical along the lines of Chicago and Sweeney Todd. Tickets are $18. Show times at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. The theater is at 2644 N Annapolis Ave., off County Road 486 and Annapolis Avenue, Citrus Hills. Call the box office at 746-7606.
GREEK FOOD, music and culture will be offered Oct. 27 to 29 at the Greek Festival at St. Michael the Archangel Greek Orthodox Church, 4705 State Road 44 W, between Lecanto and Crystal River.
A wine tasting and silent auction will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Historic Courthouse on Nov. 2. The event will kick off weekend activities in and around the Courthouse Square during Citrus County's Annual Festival of the Arts on Nov. 4 and 5. Tickets are $25, available at the Parks and Recreation office at Whispering Pines Park. The wine tasting will be presented by Time for Wine. The Still Waters Jazz Trio will perform.
SALUTE TO ELVIS with Eddie Miles will be held at 8 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. Tickets are $25, or $20 each for groups of 10 or more. Call (352) 489-9380 for tickets or buy them through Ticketmaster.com and all outlets.
HELP DECORATE the interior of the 1912 Courthouse in Inverness for the holidays. In this first-time event, organizations, clubs and businesses can provide a decorated tree or an original holiday decoration in the John Murray Davis Rotating Gallery. Space is limited; call 341-6429. The exhibit will open Nov. 20. The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

TATTOBERFEST will include a human bomb, a tattoo festival, live music and other zaniness at noon Saturday and Sunday at Bubba's Fins and Feathers, an RV park and campground on Lake Rousseau in Inglis. To get to White Buffalo Custom Tattoo's third annual Tattoberfest, take U.S. 19 north to Inglis, turn right at State Road 40 and find Bubba's about 5 miles out of town. Jessie the Human Bomb will lie in the center of a pile of dynamite at 6 p.m. and blow it up. Tattoberfest is a fundraiser for the Levy County Fire Department.
