  • For their own good

About our new look

By NEIL BROWN
Published October 16, 2006

Today, we introduce a new look for your St. Petersburg Times.

The goal of this new design is simple: better service to readers. Our aim is to provide a world-class journalistic report in a vibrant, easy to use format.

We spent a year refining the typography, developing new features, even testing new colors. We sought to preserve the familiar strengths of the Times - excellent reporting, writing and visual journalism - while adding some fresh ways to keep you in the know even on those days when a hectic schedule only affords a quick read of the paper.

The changes include a narrower page size that's easier to hold and fold. Throughout the week, you'll find new features, including more graphics, new sections, and typography designed to enhance your reading experience.

On 10A and 11A you'll find a guide to our new look. It also lets you know how to tell us what you think. We look forward to hearing from you.
